Co-ed All-Star and Summer A Tryouts

2024-05-07

We realize that the spring baseball season has just begun, but because we are up against American Little League tournament dates, we have to plan for our Summer All-Star team selections starting May 15th. In the current newsletter issue, you will see that the All-Star summer team coaches have been named.

If your child is interested in trying out for the Summer All-Star** team and/or the Summer A team for your respective level, they do the following:

1) complete this google form to register for the try-outs: https://forms.gle/zrd6KuZzWDPRYXu26

2) attend the tryout (date/time slot listed below).

The following dates and locations have been booked:

Minor All-Star / Head Coach: Randy Baker randy.baker@rogers.com

Minor A Summer / Head Coach: TBD

May 15, 2024 6:00pm

Westwood Park

Major All-Star / Head Coach: Fern Lefebvre coachfernlef@gmail.com

Major A Summer / Head Coach: Jamie Marcantonio marcantonio.jamie@gmail.com

May 16, 2024 6:00pm

Pinecrest major

Junior / All-Star Head coach: Jamie Kennedy james.kennedy@ocdsb.ca

May 17, 2024 6:00pm

Pinecrest junior diamond

Senior / All-Star Head coach: Ken Tom k-tecsystems@hotmail.com

Date TBD

TBD as senior diamond under construction

**Note: For the most part, many of the players are known to coaches through previous play, winter skills, and spring sort-out scores. Therefore, if your child is trying out and can't make this date, the coaches likely have a sense of their ranking and/or fit with the teams being selected.

All-Star requires a significant commitment, so missing the sort-out dates is not advisable.

For players interested in Summer B, there is less of a rush in forming the teams, and those tryouts will be later in the spring season.

Note: if there are any changes to tryout date/location (due to weather or field conflicts), we will post it to our social media platforms.
