Training programs (Ottawa West Little League)

PrintTraining programs

OWLL typically offers two winter training programs: winter ball and specialized training sessions in pitching, catching, and hitting. For more information about these programs, please contact our VP of coach and player development.

Winter ball:

Winter ball is a training/development program that runs January (various dates) to late March/early April. The goal is to enhance players' technical skills and development to help players prepare for the 2026 season. In 2026 we will be offering sessions for open girls minor/major and junior/senior; open co-ed sessions for rookie, minor/major national and Canadian, and junior/senior; and travel ball for 9U/10U/11U/12U age groups. The sessions will take place at the following locations - Sir Robert Borden High School, Monarch, the Boys and Girls club (MacArthur Rd), and the Sensplex. Our winter ball program is run by volunteers (with guidance from experienced winter ball coaches.) If you are interested in helping, please contact our VP of coach and player development. Providing we have sufficient volunteers, we plan to offer training to players in the rookie to senior age divisions for girls and co-ed programs.

We will also be offering some specialty clinics for players and coaches during the winter months. These rookie - senior sessions lead into the spring season. Our plan is to offer clinics for pitching, catching, and batting. Registration information will be posted here when clinics are offered.
