Winter Ball Registration is OPEN!
Is your ball player itching to get back on the field after watching the Blue Jays come so close to winning the World Series this year? Are they looking for a training/development program to enhance their technical skills and help them prepare for the 2026 season? Look no further, WINTER BALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!
You can find information on our programs and a link to the registration form on the winter registration page on our website. We are pleased to be offering programs in the rookie to senior divisions for both our co-ed and girls programs. Programs can only run if we have enough coaches, so now is a great time to sign up as a coach, assistant coach, or helper. If you are interested in coaching, please reach out to our VP, coach and player development.
NEW FOR 2026: For parents of minor and major age co-ed players, please note that OWLL is modifying the programs that we offer for winter ball to accommodate our new travel ball program for 2026. The travel ball program is a Little League designation* that we are adopting as an expansion of our prospects program. This will allow us to offer more training spots to players who want increased skill development and the opportunity to play more competitive ball in the spring. You'll note that players in the minor/major ages are now grouped together into either national or Canadian divisions, with the option to sign up for a travel team tryout on January 3rd.
Players can sign up for the national or Canadian divisions or they can choose to try out for the travel teams. If they are not selected to a travel team, they will be offered a spot in the minor/major Canadian group. The players who are selected for travel teams will be divided into groups by age, with 9U/10U/11U/12U groupings. Each group will have their own coach and will practice together as a team. There will be approximately 15 players on each team.
* Being selected for a travel ball team does not mean that your child will be traveling every weekend in the spring, it simply means that we can form the teams earlier, that they will be eligible to play in early tournaments in May should their coach/team elect to play in those tournaments, and will help us select players for our Canadian teams in summer ball at an earlier date. This is a direct response to feedback from parents who were looking to have teams formed earlier in the spring and opportunities to further their child's skill development.
**Please note that a Sportsheadz account is required to register your player(s). You can find information and a step-by-step guide on how to sign up on our registration and payment help page.**
If you have any questions about the registration process, please reach out to our registrar.
